We loved everything about this place. I found some great accommodation options in Nusa Penida and it was tough to decide which one to go with, but I'm SO glad we ended up staying at Marilea Bamboo Villas Concept. For once the Internet didn't lie - if anything actually the photos here don't do the villas justice at all. Each one is massive and incredibly well designed, the views are unbelievable and the staff are the nicest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. Also, in the morning you can see loads of monkeys hanging out in the trees at the end of the villas, which was so cool. Honestly, just hanging out at our villa was probably our favourite part of being on the island. And in the evening there's a free shuttle to an amazing sunset spot for dinner/drinks.

It's also the perfect base to explore nearby treasures such as Munduk, Jatiluwih, Menjangan Island, or Lovina.

The staff and the owner are super nice! Super helpful and they made our stay even better. The pool and the terrace are simply beautifull. Breakfast was delicious.

We liked the layout of the ecolodge with its traditional style cottages, pool, common space to meet other guests and community members, and the nature all around. Michael (owner) is a super energetic and friendly person who's open to help you and share his knowledge and tips. The staff was also super friendly, helpful and hard working. We also enjoyed MMA classes, which you can attend every Mon, Wed and Fri with Yari (World champion in MMA). It was the first time trying something like this and it was amazing! We recommend the place for longer stays in order to experience all it has to offer.
