Loved everything, the bungalow is magical and the stuff is great. They take care in the best way of you in this remote piece of paradise. Definitely worth the journey to reach. Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. This is not just a ‘business’, it is a passion! Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

Bayu Senja Lodge features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kundasang. The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. Extremely helpful staff members - did our washing for us with a rapid turn around, moved our suitcases to our new room on the second night, helped us with transport to the national park etc. Clean rooms with efficient fan and comfortable beds. Free bottled water provided, with beautiful views of sunset from kitchen and terrace. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Situated in Kinabatangan in the Sabah region, Borneo Jungle Adventure features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Nice staff, good location, great river cruise. We saw local money, birds, proboscis money, orangutan …Dingkai is a very good chef and the food is delicious, Khai is a knowledgeable guide and he can always find the animals and birds quickly, Na-in is a good captain as we met a heavy rain at morning cruise.Grace always makes everything comfortable.Good transport arrangement.

Ha estat genial tenir-ho tot organitzat i inclòs en el preu. Hem vist un munt d’animals i hem après moltissim! I que et recullin i tornin a l’aeroport o on tu necessitis és ideal. A més es van preocupar per adaptar el menjar en cas d’alergies o preferencies de dieta. El fet que només hi hagués wifi a la zona comú no va ser cap problema per nosaltres perquè duiem sim de dades.

Located in Kundasang in the Sabah region, Nulu View Cabin provides accommodation with free private parking. Not only was the view from the room amazing, but the lady checking us in and out was so kind and helpful.

Featuring sea views, Maglami-lami Water House in Semporna features accommodation and a restaurant. There is a private bathroom with bidet in all units, along with free toiletries and slippers. Just living on the water. No sand, no bugs, just simple wooden floor and tourquise sea beneath your feet. And the staff is just one of a kind. If you need anything, they are there to assist you. But if you want your mind to chill, they just let you be. No small talk, no pretended kindness, no hustle. Perfection.

Located in Kudat, Tampat do Aman provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. We had a wonderful stay at Tampat do Aman- Howard was so friendly and helpful, he showed us around and gave us recommendations what to do and where to eat( Inas café is really good). He cares about the local culture and environment and there is also a little museum about the people there( the Rungus) and their culture. We overall can really recommend staying there!
