Providing a terrace and free WiFi, Shiva lodge provides accommodation in a prime location in Varanasi, within a short distance of Dasaswamedh Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Manikarnika Ghat. I stayed for 6 nights at the Shiva lodge and liked it very much, it became my home in Varanasi. An oasis where you can rest and unwind after wandering around the ghats and the intensity of the city. I stayed during winter which is not the best time because there is a lot of pollution in the air and it gets really cold in the night! But at the Shiva lodge I found boiling hot water in the shower so I can warm up amazingly. The wifi was excellent as well. Nice rooftop views. Recommended!

Set in lovely grounds with staff who really look after you. Well appointed accommodation with comfortable beds and it is so quiet at night - we slept really well. Food was excellent - the best we had during our India holiday. The manager will organise leopards safaris for you. We saw leopards on the early morning safari. A member of staff will accompany you on a short walk to the dam area which has stunning scenery.
