Ubytovanie 高野山 こころの寺子屋リトリートハウス -Koyasan Retreat House IKKOSHO sa nachádza v destinácii Kójasan 37 km od miesta Kishi Station a 44 km od miesta Matsushita Park. The accommodation is a small cozy house with about 5–6 guest rooms. The room size is just right—comfortable and well-maintained. Cleanliness is excellent, and the owner is very kind and friendly. The common area is fully equipped, including a clean and well-organized kitchen with plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, microwave, and even a high-quality coffee machine, which is a great touch. One thing to note is that the staircase to the upper floor is a bit steep, which might not be ideal for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. It’s recommended to request a ground-floor room when booking, if needed.

Wonderfully charming mountain cottage. The cottage itself has everything a visitor needs — comfortable futons, good shower and bathroom, kitchen and, most importantly, a deck that looks out across the mountains to the sea. We visited on a hot August day, but the cottage enjoyed a fresh breeze that immediately cooled us off. I would highly recommend the cottage.

Ubytovanie Koguchi Village by WhyKumano sa nachádza v destinácii Shingu 23 km od miesta Kumanoshi Kiwakozan Museum a ponúka klimatizáciu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Lovely, modern, wooden building that was a perfect respite in Koguchi. Our host also made an amazing Japanese traditional steamed meal, and a real spread for breakfast. Shared bathroom was surprisingly not an issue in any way. No in terms of waiting, nor in terms of hygiene. Though I suppose that depends on fellow guests as well, as realistically the host can't be cleaning up immediately after every guest, so we were lucky. We didn't use it but there is a bath as well.

We had the whole place to ourselves, and the village is incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The common areas are great and easy to use, adding to the comfort. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

Ubytovanie Taraichitei sa nachádza v destinácii Takashima 28 km od miesta Kehi Jingu Shrine, 34 km od miesta Omimaiko Beach a 40 km od miesta Železničná stanica Obama. It is an old style house, so as long as you aren't expecting Western/modern comforts, it's fantastic! My daughter called it the Totoro house. You will sleep on Japanese futons that you lay out on the tatami mats - if you've never slept on a futon it might feel uncomfortable/hard compared to Western beds. You will eat sitting on the tatami mats, but there are a couple of small Western chairs if sitting on the floor is difficut. The bathroom is Japanese style with the toilet in one section, the sink/vanity in a second section and the shower with separate furo (deep bathtub for soaking after washing in the shower) in the third section. It was not the most modern but all clean and more spacious than the Western hotel bathrooms we had other parts of Japan! There is a TV, wifi worked great and a bluetooth speaker to play music. There aren't a lot of "tourist" attractions nearby but it you want serenity this hits the spot - a few steps away has you walking among farming fields and the house is also close to the forest with a little stream running along side the road making for a peaceful but easy walk up the mountain. The gohan (rice) cooked in the old style stove was the best we ate our entire trip! Wish we had bought some of the local rice. It can get a little smoky when dinner is being cooked but my mild asthma was fine. The host, Hiro, is amazing, super accomodating and friendly, he introduced us to his shiba inu (dog) and his duck, and even though we didn't ask ahead, he prepped for us to make tofu - this experience was an extra fee but totally worth it! During the winter you can also request mochitsuki (pounding rice into mochi) and summer/fall you can make noodles (can't remember if he said soba, ramen or udon). Hiro's English is limited, but he's so engaging, we asked him to eat dinner with us and my daughter loved that...he has such good energy!

Ubytovanie Yadori Onsen Iyashinoyu sa nachádza 35 km od miesta Subaru Hall. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii spoločenskú miestnosť, terasu, balkón a bezplatné Wi-Fi. The Onsen! It had private hours for inn guests. I also appreciated the clean, modern cabin. Yusuke and the whole staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, even offering a shuttle to and from Koyasan twice per day. Beautiful valley. there is a bridge that allows you to get down to the rivers edge to enjoy the water.

Ubytovanie Tamayura no Sato sa nachádza 30 km od miesta Kishi Station. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii reštauráciu, sezónny vonkajší bazén, záhradu a terasu. This was a nice place away from the city. They have bbqs where you can grill outside of your cabin. Comfortable cabins close to some cool stuff to see. Friendly staff.

Ubytovanie Fukurou sa nachádza v destinácii Kushimoto 3,3 km od miesta Shionomisaki Shrine a 12 km od miesta Kushimoto Turkish Memorial and Museum. Ponúka prístup do záhrady. I really enjoyed the private access Onsen, available to sign up once a day. Perfect after biking around Kushimoto all day—I rented one of their electric assist bikes which made going up and down the local hills easier. Complete with helmet and cell phone holder. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
