The house is located on a steep hill, so be prepared for it — but it’s absolutely worth the effort. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. It was clear that he genuinely wanted me to enjoy my stay as much as possible. The breakfasts and dinners he prepared and brought were delicious, generous, and reasonably priced. The hike to the hill above the house is stunning, with breathtaking views — you can even see Adam’s Peak from there.

The amazing hosts Kanchana and Suranga were very welcoming and the food was delicious! They were very helpful and informative about the local activities and local surroundings. The last section of the road is a little rough but the destination is well worth the travel. We highly recommend this natural, peaceful paradise.

We highly recommend this jungle oasis on the edge of Colombo. It’s a bird watcher’s paradise and a heavenly end to a fabulous holiday.
