Nice size and appreciated the natural filtration system they created to keep the water clean. We stayed for 3 nights and they offered different breakfast options each day. Very tasty food. They also grow some of their own food (eggs, ducks), or alternatively get their supplies from the local community. Excellent family run eco-lodge in a wonderful location close to attractions and in a natural, quiet setting. It was perfect for us.

The rooms/cabins are very nice and located in a beautiful tropical garden at the riverside. From the restaurant you have a nice view on the Montes Azules on the other side of the river. We had quite some different “visitors” during our 3 nights stay: spider monkeys, howler monkeys, macaws, toucan, hummingbirds etc. Also the boat tour through Montes Azules is very spectacular. Highly recommended!

The family running the hotel is very friendly. Nice location in between Palenque and Yaxchilan temples. Very good food for dinner. A small river runs through the property (nice sounds which you can hear from the room).

Located in the Lacandon jungle setting in Palenque, this resort is a 5 minute drive to the Archeological Zone of Palenque. A 60 km drive from Cascadas Agua Azul Natural Park. Amazing resort. Rooms are incredible and spotless. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Restaurant is delicious. Swimming pool and the overall grounds are breathtaking. Highly recommend.

We traveled 3,000 km specifically to return to Entremares for an entire week. It did not disappoint! It is off the beaten path and summer-camp rustic. Perfect! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the food is good, and it's really amazing to be able to swim in both the ocean and the sound. This is a peaceful place that is very quiet at night. Lots of nature, hammocks for reading.

Located just 8 km from the Palenque Archaeologican Zone and 1 km from Palenque town, Hotel Cabañas Safari offers an outdoor pool and a traditional Temazcal steam bath. It was like a resort but very quiet. The swimming pool was warm and amazing. There were a lot of birds and the Hammocks on the patios were excellent. Breakfast was ok. Taking a bus to town and the bus station was very simple. The handsome manager was pleasant and helpful. Taking a tour Bus (Otisa) from San Cristobal de las casas to Palenque was the way to go, safe and affordable and when you are done the 3 stop tour of the waterfalls and Palenque Pyramids have them drop you off on the road in front at Cabana Safari, it really is an oasis and you will not be disappointed. Be sure to have snacks with you. Careful with the Taxi Drivers and know your prices. Be sure to visit Christian at the Monopoly Drink very near the town square, his drinks are amazing and very exquisite and unique.
