Situated 1.1 km from Chelem Beach, Cabanas Jaalkab offers free bikes, an outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The cabins were amazing and really comfortable! They are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed is comfy and the net does protect you from any mosquitoes which might have gotten into the room, although I didn’t see any inside (there were many outside, but repellent kept them at bay). The staff was friendly and ready to help, and they lent us beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. The pool was slightly cold, but still quite pleasant and clean! The Wi-Fi works perfectly well for working remotely, and there are sufficient power outlets inside and outside the cabins. On the TV there is Netflix and other streaming platforms. There is also a temazcal (traditional sauna) which works on scheduled days and can seat large groups. There is no kitchen inside the cabins, but there is a fridge to keep food fresh, and there is a shared kitchenette with an electric stove, near the site’s entrance, and the staff can lend you a pan to cook a quick meal. Hot coffee is prepared and served for free twice a day. There is sufficient, safe, and convenient parking space for all guests, and the staff lends you a little trolley so your luggage can be carried around easily to your cabin without getting soiled with sand. I would definitely recommend it to any traveller, and I will surely come back with my family one day! The property has one pet-friendly cabin only, so if you are coming with your pet it’s worth booking and letting them know in advance.

Excellent place to connect with nature. Beautiful cenote on site. Great for bird watching, quiet and the room has its unique style. We saw a monkey in the threes. The staff was super friendly.

We liked this beautiful and peaceful place in nature. Birds and roosters will wake you up early in the morning which made us rich and relaxed. here you live with nature. Here there are horses, cows, goats, iguanas, many different birds. It is very safe and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Every morning host prepared a drink for us (coffee or hot water for tea). it is located 10 minutes by car from the city, which is great. There is also a gas station very close (3 min by car) where the prices are normal and they have plant-based milk. 5 min by car (straight only) there is a small open market where you can buy vegetables and fruits. Also very normal prices. The house has a common kitchen and a terrace. All archaeological sights are very easily accessible from this place. Yes, the road is bumpy, but you are in the countryside of Valladolid. Wi-Fi is great.

The Lodge at Uxmal is located within Uxmal Archaeological Park, just a few steps from the pyramids and temples. This quiet and luxurious place is just across the road from the Uxmal archaeological site. We visited the site just after breakfast, and we were the only visitors for the first 30 minutes. Tourists started arriving when we were about to leave.

The room was nice and clean, quiet, and surrounded by nature. Safe place. There is a cute pool to relax in, and the A/C was working well. The host is very friendly, speaks English well, and has two adorable dogs.
