We loved Nativo, hidden away this peaceful getaway provided quiet and privacy to unwind and spend quality time after a few days in Lisbon. We thought the outside bathroom might be a bit of an adventure but it was lovely, clean and well fitted out. All round a great place to hide away!

The house and gardens were unique and exceptional, better than a home away from home. There were plenty of rooms to space out or spaces to come together. There was so much to explore and so many different aspects to discover. There were several beautiful eating areas, under the Grapevine, on the Colonial veranda and in the spacious kitchen. The gardens were huge and full of interest, from the banana trees to the pots of succulents and palm trees. It was so tastefully decorated with unique pieces of furniture and fascinating items from all over the world, a museum of antiquities. All in all a labyrinth of gorgeousness, full of ambience and grandeur. There were interesting and enchanting artefacts around every corner and everyday was a new discovery. There were so many delightful seating areas in which to relax and a place of calm and peacefulness all around. We especially loved the Balcony and views. Rose made us feel so welcome and treated us like one of the family and nothing was too much for her. We thank her and Brendan for the wonderful use of your Home. It was a total delight and feast for our senses.

Overall the accomodation was a good value for money. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi worked very well. The host was very friendly. He didn't speak English but somehow we could communicate with him.

Located just 42 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela, Branca Gonçalves Belmonte provides accommodation in Belmonte with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a 24-hour front desk. There was a refrigerator, small oven, microwave and one ring electric hob which enabled us to self cater easily. There was a supermarket within 10 minutes walk away which sold meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, beer, wine, etc . We arrived by bus from Guarda and it took about 30 minutes uphill to get to the house. Museums and Castle within walking distance so no need for a car. The house is small but everything is there for you to enjoy in a very peaceful and picturesque surroundings. The owners gave good and easy instructions regarding how to enter the property. Lovely little seating area in the back garden overlooking pleasant scenery. House in quiet part of Belmonte with no traffic noise.
