Awesome little treehouse in a magical forest owned by amazing people.It includes a mini kitchenette and all the necessities to feel at home. The treehouses are located close to the habitat of wild horses and the mountain is just 20-30 minutes away so you can hike up very easily ( mild fitness required). Situated in Mondim de Basto in the Norte Region region, Refúgio das Poldras features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The interior was stylish and clean, and our kids were thrilled with the beds on the second floor, which felt like a secret hideout. The two beds were spacious and fluffy, and we slept very comfortably. The jacuzzi on the terrace was spacious enough for our family of three, and we enjoyed relaxing in it every night and morning. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and responded promptly to all of our detailed questions before our stay. The breakfast served in a cute basket was plentiful and everything was delicious. We were impressed from the very beginning, and wished we could have stayed longer! We stayed at accommodations in many places on this trip, but everyone in the family said this was the best.

Lua de Caldelas is an exceptional place. A beautiful house, carefully and elegantly designed, a wonderful lush garden with hot tubs and great views, excellent fresh and delicious food (breakfast and dinner) and, above all, the most gracious and generous hosts, Keren and Zif. We feel really lucky that we found Lua. We had a wonderful time there and would love to come back.
