A barbecue is available on site and skiing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Though the whole complex has the air of a resort from the Communist era, it turned out things are far better than I read in older comments. The room was quite big, with a nice huge balcony, and the bathroom was modernized and had a big tub. Everything was clean (though we've found two lost so ks in one of the wardrobes). We ate at Iadolina restaurant and the food was also very good, big servings well cooked. The breakfast was satisfying, too, and the waiter was very polite and prompt. There aren't many accomodations in Stâna de Vale, which is a very small resort, but ours was the right choice.
