Absolute gem of a hotel in an off the beaten path location. My husband and I came to their restaurant this past summer and loved it so much that we came back to stay! The hotel is the perfect size. Not too big, but not too small either. You feel like you’re staying at your family’s home. Everyone is very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean and have great amenities. As for the restaurant - it is Michelin rated, so it’s fantastic. We pride ourselves on being foodies and came back to eat at the restaurant again. We managed to book a massage for this stay, which was equally wonderful.

Excellent experience, right from check in to check out. Our host was very friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. Room was very comfortable , large window that opened to a great view and lots of fresh air. Breakfast was on a sunny terrace and made up of quality produce, attractively presented. Also in a great location , short walk to the lake or the other direction into small town. Wonderful !!!

The location was perfect and exactly what we wanted for a week of rest and relaxation. Our lovely, colorful room had a balcony that opened up onto the beautiful yard and a clear view of the lake. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts of fresh breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, and fruit delivered to the balcony with fresh flowers from the garden. The Villa am See is very close to the pier where sightseeing boats stop throughout the day, making trips around and across the lake easy and accessible. The very best part our visit was meeting Petra, the site manager, who is wonderful, thoughtful, attentive, and fully committed to the finest expressions of welcome and hospitality. We will return when in the area.

Very comfortable beds and beautiful decor. Just a few minutes walk from town, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. it’s a lovely storybook feel off the beaten path we felt like we were immersed in the German culture.
