Everything was perfect, to start with the staff who were very polite, smiling and helpful. Breakfast was complete and savoury, perfect location. And for a former police station, the cells are pretty comfortable !

Everything that a hotel should be. Better than home, but homely. Quiet, but in a lively part of town. Good restaurants near by, but people visit the hotel restaurant because it's that good. Super lovely staff who can never do too much for you, comfy beds, quiet rooms, fluffy towels, excellent breakfast with freshly squeezed juice and killer coffee and a shower that could take road markings off - what's not to like?

Terletak di Colmar, 100m dari pusat dan 0-minit berjalan kaki dari Gereja Saint-Martin Collegiate, Au Grenier à Sel Colmar menawarkan penginapan dengan kemudahan seperti WiFi percuma dan TV skrin... The location was outstanding, overlooking the Christmas market [which was the purpose of our trip]. Of course this means there is about a 1km trip from the train station which was an easy walk. On arrival, we dropped our bags just up the street at La Conciergerie [NannyBag reservation, worked very well, very nice people]. The entry directions were clear and easy to do. The room, an appartment, was everything you would expect. We didn't get to meet Camille but she checked up on us regularly and I'm sure would have been help if we needed. For the older non-EU folks like us, a smart phone usable in Europe is almost necessary to stay here though (at a minimum e-mail access). Finally, if you take day-trips by train from Colmar the Uber application is a handy backup [without Uber we would have been stuck in Bollwiller due to rail equipment failure that stopped trains thru Bollwiller for an entire afternoon/evening].
