Featuring 5-star accommodation, Ryokan Shinsen is located in Takachiho, 600 metres from Takachiho Shrine and 1.8 km from Takachiho Gorge Freshwater Fish Aquarium. This was our favorite place in Kyushu. It is small and the attention to every detail is exceptional. The decor from the wallpapers to the tiles, and from the design of the onsen to the gardens are impeccable. The meals were also excellent. The hospitality of the staff, in particular Kumi-San and Megumi-San, was also a highlight.

Situated in Miyazaki and within 1.5 km of Miyazaki Station, Territory25 has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers room service. Guests can enjoy city views. We loved the space (huge for location - living room, kitchen, bathroom and 2 beds in the bedroom), hotel design, safety, amenities, and the comfortable sleepwear. The staff were so nice and accommodating. This hotel is an all inclusive place, so there’s free drinks and snacks at the rooftop bar. We wish we used it more, but we wanted to explore the city’s food scene during this trip. There are so many good restaurants within walking distance. We look forward to staying here during our next trip to Miyazaki!

Set 8 km from Horikawa Bridge, Nazuna Obi Onsen Resort offers 5-star accommodation in Nichinan and features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Outstanding room with garden area. Staff were welcoming and reserved dinner in a local restaurant for us. Afternoon tea was great. Location is a 5 minute walk from the castle in a lovely old street.

Situated in Nichinan in the Miyazaki region, Kiraku Obi features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Feels like High end Airbnb, enjoyed our stay even for only 1 night, wish we can stay longer.

This is a beautiful hotel with luxurious views and facilities. The rooms are huge and well equipped. The food was lovely with a good selection of western and Japanese cuisine. Several onsens to choose from. Nice bar area.
