The garden is absolutely beautiful—an ideal place to relax and unwind. The staff were wonderfully attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel completely at home. Even though we stayed only one night, we left feeling deeply refreshed. The food was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Guest rooms, dining room and other facilities are of top quality. The hotel is not suitable for families with children it is a great choice for honeymooners, single travelers and couples.

Boasting pool views, Hilldale Retreat provides accommodation with an infinity pool, a garden and a shared lounge, around 12 km from Gregory Lake. It's a beautiful place to relax. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Because there's very few rooms you feel as if you have the whole place to yourself. The food was amazing especially with the view from the dining area. Loved using the sauna as well.

A very beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Special thanks to Vithu and Srikanth, who took wonderful care of us. The view over the tea plantations is stunning, and the area is great for hiking. The food buffet is amazing for breakfast and dinner. The hotel organized a night transfer to Adam’s Peak and prepared a breakfast box for us. We took a tuk-tuk at 2 a.m., which waited for us while we climbed the mountain and brought us back to the hotel at around 10 a.m. The total price was 15,000 LKR.
