The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. We had a wonderful experience at The Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly impressive. A special mention to Ms. Kaveesha, who was extremely supportive, cooperative, and went out of her way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. She personally showed us the room and guided us on many things during our stay. We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a stunning view of the surrounding hills. The location of the hotel is about 5 km from the main town, but that makes it even more peaceful and beautiful. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, and in the morning, the sound of birds chirping adds a magical, natural charm. It truly feels like staying in the heart of nature. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention too – it had a wide spread with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, this hotel perfectly balances comfort, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy.

Breakfast was good but I’d recommend you make it more fun It was our best stay in sri lanka so far, staffs were so good and the manager is a decent man We loved the waterfall activity arranged by hotel, Will definitely come again if ever visited Kandy thank you for making our vacation extra special

What a wonderful place this is, this homestay has to be the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hosts go out of their way to make your stay in their homestay and in Kandy as amazing as possible. The hospitality we have experienced here has been unmatched so far (from giving us recommendations on what to do, picking us up from the bus free of charge, arranging day trips and sharing their knowledge about Sri Lanka). When booking this homestay please do yourself a favour and try the amazing food here. Everyday at breakfast we were served with new Sri Lankan delicacies and the variety of food (dhal, curry sambal, different juices, parotta, hoppers -> if you don't know what hoppers are, please try them at the Comfort, fresh fruit etc.) is unmatched. The dinner was amazing as well. The rooms itself are spacious and very clean. The property itself is located in the gorgeous hills of Kandy in a beautiful and peaceful location. The city center is only a short drive away. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness! You made our trip to Kandy truly special.

After a disappointing experience in Kandy and a grueling 10-hour drive, we arrived at this incredible haven, where we were warmly welcomed by Inoka at the gate. She went above and beyond, even helping us maneuver our little tuk-tuk up the driveway. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was unmatched. This place, and its wonderful owner, truly became one of the highlights of our journey through Sri Lanka. The breakfast? Simply out of this world! We’ll be recommending this hidden gem to everyone we know.

Our 2 nights stay at The Flame Tree resort was perfect! Would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to disconnect and relax. The staff were so attentive, kind and helpful, and the rooms were beautifully decorated - you can tell how much thought and effort has gone into every aspect. Incredible service delivered by the hotel’s staff - big shoutout to Mr. Harsha for his proactive help arranging my transport and spa treatments. The scenery around the hotel is truly magical, a wonderful place to reconnect with nature. I really enjoyed my meals at the hotel’s restaurant. Although many previous reviews have mentioned the location being a bit further away from Kandy, this actually enhances the experience. The distance allows for daily trips to Kandy while offering a serene retreat that enriches the entire experience with a spiritual touch.
