The hotel is absolutely beautiful, there is no other hotel and it has a private beach that is clean, quiet and just stunning to look at. Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

I didn’t expect Tanjung Rhu to be that beautiful. The water was so clear and the beach was peaceful, almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Such a great spot!

The apartment is new, well maintained, with awesome interiors and felt 5 star as promised. Everything has been done with a great sense of quality and taste and you can see and feel it all things like furniture, choice of linen, cutlery etc. But the best part of apartment is its location. It is quiet calm and serene. Very close to the beach, with a fantastic view of the sea, it is also close the main shopping / market hub of Pantai Cenang. It is slightly expensive but well worth the price. Perfect for family with kids.
