Wyndham Costa del Sol Cusco is a converted 17th-century mansion located in Cusco’s centre, a few steps away from Cusco Main Square and La Merced Church. This is a really lovely hotel in a fantastic location, just a flat three-minute walk to the Plaza Mayor and cathedral, which made getting around the historic centre very easy. It actually exceeded expectations and is more beautiful in person than can be conveyed in photos. We stayed here on two occasions. Once before our tour of Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu (with Sam Travel - highly recommend!) and once after. The building has a lot of original character and history, but still feels very comfortable and well set up. On our first visit we were upgraded on arrival to a spacious suite with a separate lounge and a large jacuzzi. The views across the rooftops towards the cathedral were beautiful, particularly in the evening. On the second visit our room was equally lovely, albeit without the views. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We also had a couple of good dinners in the restaurant, and although it’s a large space, it still feels quite intimate, especially with the open fire going. We didn’t have breakfast, simply because we’re not breakfast people. The central courtyard is a calm space to sit, and there’s a small massage area in one corner. I had a head, back and shoulder massage there and found it excellent.

It’s a very cute stay. They have actual alpacas that live there. The staff was really nice and well supportive. Very welcoming and nice.

The hotel boasts impressive interiors with antique exposed bricks, vaulted ceilings and sleek designer style furniture. Cusco’s cathedral and main square are only 3 blocks away. Very beautiful hotel in the middle of old town, close to the Cathedral, very clean, beds very comfortable, personnel very helpful and polite, good food at restaurant

Tambo del Inka, a luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. Food is absolutely delicious, with great selections. Spa was oasis of comfort The concierge was extremely helpful and patient, helped me to book train tickets and local transport. Their resturant opens 5:30am so we could take a bit or grab some take-away before we boarded the train for Machu Pichhu, which itself was a great comfort. Staff is genuinely warm and welcoming!

Aranwa offers 5-star luxury set in a refurbished sixteenth century mansion, declared National Historic Monument in 1980, in downtown Cuzco. Location was excellent near historic and good restaurants. Staff super friendly and very helpful

Part of Tierra Viva Hotels Chain, this property is located in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, 60 km from the centre of Cusco and only 11 km from Ollantaytambo, the starting point to explore... Fantastic place. Staff was very helpful and friendly- especially the reception staff. Clean rooms with big comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Cusco Collection Hotel is located in front of the Koricancha, in central Cusco. The central train station is within walking distance. Amazingly beautiful hotel!! We loved it!! The pool was really nice!
