Great accommodation within a serene location, easy to reach. Everything is exactly as described and seen in the photos + brilliant hosts. Located within a reasonable distance (max 30-40min drive) from the activities of interest of this area (ski resorts, historical wooden churches, mountain peaks, trekking trails, waterfalls etc.) it's worth booking your stay here while exploring the region. The real assets of this accommodation are the hosts, who are very quick/prompt to attend to almost any type of issue. On top of that, they master the art of hosting by genuinely knowing how to make you feel welcomed as a friend and not just as a guest. In addition, the food is mouth-watering with a comprehensive selection of traditional ingredients from within the village. The rooms are sparkling clean, with a nice view from the balcony, furnished elegantly and of high quality, offering a cosy blend of traditional elements which engulfs that warm atmosphere sought after by many. As a bonus, the rooms are well-soundproofed. The room's minibar fridge is well stocked and the freebie shots (downstairs) of locally sourced brandies and other beverages are all you could ask for after a long trip. Because they consistently go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, they deserve the rating of <9.7 Exceptional>. We highly recommend this place! Thank you and keep up the good work.

Boasting mountain views, Complex Pescăresc Gura Repezii Borșa features accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 26 km from Horses' Waterfall. Everything was perfect. Obviously the all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was very tasty!

Located in Vişeu de Jos, 19 km from The Wooden Church of Ieud, Pensiunea Maramures Guesthouse provides accommodation with a spa and wellness centre, free private parking, a seasonal outdoor swimming... We loved everything: location, pool, sauna, clean rooms, good coffee, tasty breakfast, kind personelle, comfortable bed. They provide bathrobes, extra towels for the pool, a bottle of water was waiting for us in the room. We recommend!

Hotel Ivascu has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Moisei. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. First of all the location is close to the mountain and very quiet, very suitable to take a break from the annoying urban noise. We stayed in the mountain cabin which is separate from the hotel but it has all the confort. It’s even better if you really want to have privacy and quiet. The room is very clean, food excellent and the stuff super friendly. There is a spa area in the hotel, but we didn’t try it. The are some nearby attractions, like the cable car in Borsa, the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta, the Horses Waterfall and many others.

Located in Baia Mare, 32 km from The Wooden Church of Şurdeşti, Primera Dru Hotel&Spa provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.... It was clean and comfortable, the wellness area is really spatious and well equipped.

Offering a garden and mountain view, La Conacul Vesel Săpânța is situated in Săpînţa, 22 km from The Village Museum of Maramures and 42 km from The Wooden Church of Deseşti. Excellent location, very friendly host.. Clean, very spacious room and a very nice design I will definitely go back again
