Everything was next level. The meals will blow your socks off and unlimited alcohol. The hot springs were amazing. The rooms were also very nice with excellent customer service. The highlight of our stay.

Great and I mean GREAT service. The staff were amazing, catering to every need. The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

I think I’ve found the Best hotel breakfast in Sendai! With ingredients from Sendai and nearby they have prepared a sumptuous buffet line. ALL the dishes were delectable. ALL the staff have provided a pleasantly warm and very attentive service. Bravos! Public bath was nice with 2 wash&dry machines for men. The wifi signal was good. If only the hotel has had the new smart tv with YouTube ready it would have been PERFECT!

Taoya Akiu is, in short, fantastic. Location is 2min walking from the bus stop from/to Sendai, but to get there and from there they offer a free shuttle bus (require reservation, ideally now than one day before). The few attractions in the area are all reachable by walking. The resort is huge but services are distributed well and moving around is efficient. Basically everything is included in the price and offered as part of the staying: there are free drink -including alcoholic beverages- and snacks, you can choose your yukata among the different colours avaliable. There are multiple relaxing areas which are all nice and cozy, and there is even a shop inside. The onsen (baths) are gorgeous as you see in the pics. There are 4, two indoor and two outdoor that are assigned in pair to males and females, switching every day (this is standard for Onsen places) so you can try both even if you only stay one night. Check in and out are quick and staff is polite as always in Japan. Both dinner and breakfast are buffet style with quite a huge selection. The room is amazing, large for Japanese standards (and I mean really large) and beautiful with beds in a japense style section in the middle of the room. Super recommended.

You might came across this Hotel seeing that there isn't a tag for Onsen? They have it, just a little small, so small that if someone stands up to read something on the wall, you get to see their Mangetsu in full HD. They have breakfast service, annnnd free Alcohol for selected timings! If you are wondering if it is beer, it is not. It is Umeshu and other liquor. Quite a selection to choose from. Breakfast comes with some fixed courses, but they made the effort to change some dishes daily. The quality of food is pretty good. It is located in a very good location. Right beside is a Cafe, across is Mcdonalds, walking down is a 7-11 where you can draw cash, and further down is their shopping street. It is very very convenient. One thing is, if you are traveling light or just 1 luggage, it is very possible to walk from the hotel to Sendai station.

Looking for a property with onsen?

Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as "onsen," these hotels offer a relaxing soak in therapeutic, geothermal waters. Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.
