Unterkünfte mit Onsen in Kiso

After hiking nearly 22 kilometers over the trail, arriving at Iwaya Inn felt like stepping into a peaceful sanctuary. We were exhausted, but from the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with such warmth and care. Language barrier? Not a problem at all—translation apps and a shared sense of humor made every interaction easy and fun. Here is why this traditional inn completely stole our hearts: The Rooms: Classic, serene, Japanese-style rooms that were spotless and comfortable. Exactly what we needed to unwind after a demanding trail day. The Unbelievable Feast: Honestly, being dead tired, we didn't expect much—and then came an absolute banquet! Slices of tender Kiso beef, fresh sashimi, vibrant veggies, comforting udon noodles, juicy fruits for dessert, and hands-down the best tempura we’d had on our entire trip. Next-Level Hospitality: The true highlight of the meal was the staff. Two extraordinarily kind and attentive staff members guided us through every dish. Since it was my very first time eating sashimi, they patiently taught me how to enjoy it properly. Bonus Tip: Just 30 meters from the inn, a small staircase leads right down to the Kiso River. Dipping our aching feet into the ice-cold mountain water after a full day on the pass was pure heaven. An absolute joy of a stay. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of us!

Hilfsbereites Personal, kostenloses Shuttle vom Bahnhof, Stargazing Tour, hervorragendes japanisches Abendessen bzw. Frühstück, Private Onsen, Sauberkeit

Top!!!
