Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. This place was amazing!! The private onsen was perfect, they even have a web you can check through your phone to check availability. Staff can speak english and its really quiet. Perfect for resting.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. We werden vanaf het station opgehaald (en de volgende dag weggebracht) met een shuttle. De kamer is enorm met een voor en achterkamertje. Het is een klassieke kamer met tatami mat en schuifdeuren. We hadden uitzicht op de rivier, er lag nog een pak sneeuw onder ons raam. De onsen buiten is geweldig, het is echt zo mooi als op de foto's op Booking. Het avond eten was heel divers en heerlijk. Het werd heel leuk opgediend in pannetjes met branders eronder. In je kamer heb je een eigen toilet en in de achterkamer een wastafel. In de nacht was het heerlijk stil en hoorden we alleen het ruisen van de rivier. In de ochtend kan je nog heerlijk genieten van de onsen. Het ontbijt was ook wel heel divers en met pannetjes en branders. Dit was echt 1 van de hoogtepunten van onze rondreis door Japan.

BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn is gelegen op 47 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park en 15 km van Mt. Kusatsu Shirane, en biedt kamers in Kusatsu. Online reply is fast and clear, hotel staff is super easy to communicate and friendly. The room is really nice and the property is super quiet.

Oyado Yukizumi ligt in Kusatsu, op 46 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. De accommodatie is rookvrij en is gelegen op 14 km van Mt. This little Ryokan-style hotel was so nice that I missed it very much after leaving Kusatsu Onsen. I have stayed in a total of 14-16 hotels all over Japan by now (over the years) and this is easily one of the best (if not the very best). I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast very much: it was very elegant as well as nutritious. They also checked the ingredients with me. The wide Tatami mat area exceeded expectations: I could relax with panoramic views of the snow capped mountains while dining or just working (digital nomad-ing was easy with fast wifi). There were many drawers and cupboards: storage space was never an issue. The Toto Smart toilet was more advanced than those variants in 5-Star hotels. The hotel is proximate to all the important places and just opposite the bus stand: I only just had to cross the road with my luggage. I also discovered multiple short routes to Yubatake every single day (I stayed for three days). The same family/organisation also operates the Yume Hana restaurant next door and guests of Oyado Yukizumi receive a complimentary beverage service while dining in Yume Hana. The Yukata they provide is very nice and I wore the same to the main Onsens in the area. The staff are very caring and kind hearted, for example, when I was leaving, seeing that it was raining, they asked me to take their umbrella with me (I declined the same). Later, I missed the level of kindness and attention to each individual guest I received while staying here - that is something you will not get from large branded hotels. Thank you, Oyado Yukizumi, I was very touched.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) bevindt zich in Kusatsu, op 45 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park en 14 km van Mt. I think this will be one of my best experiences in Japan, everything was perfect! The hotel itself is very charming, the bedroom incredibly beautiful with an amazing view, the bath really nice, had an amazing breakfast and most of all the host was truly amazing. If I come back to Kusatsu, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The hotel offers pyjamas and Yukatas for guests. The breakfast was so tasty and the service was incredible! The Onsen is private and available from 3pm to 9am. Overall we loved our experience and would come back anytime.

Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso is gelegen in Nakanojo, op 49 km van Naeba skioord en 36 km van Ishidan-gai Steps, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. So beautiful! The food was amazing the service was phenomenal. The room was better in person and well worth the money
