Definitely worth paying for it when you book your room! Rooms are bigger than your typical Tokyo hotel room and beds are quite comfy. The hotel is very close to the train station. View of the Tokyo Bay is quite lovely and you are able to see Tokyo Tower in the public bath.

Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Possibly the best hostel I have ever stayed - though that word doesn’t do it justice! Onsen and all common spaces were beautiful, the kitchen was the best appointed I’ve ever seen with everything from cooking sake to coffee beans and grinders, staff were helpful. It’s a bit out of the way of things but that makes for a really peaceful atmosphere.

Ubytovanie Onsen & Garden -Asante Inn- sa nachádza v destinácii Hakone 7,9 km od miesta Stanica Hakone-Yumoto. Despite being one of the cheapest, this was one of our favourite places we stayed in Japan. The feel is a bit backpacker-like with dorms and communal areas, but it’s so welcoming and peaceful. We stayed in a tatami mat room with futon beds which was a fun and comfortable experience. Our young girls really loved the private onsen and wished we could have longer in there! Staff were absolutely incredible, even offering to drive us a little further than Gora Station on a rainy morning. We really appreciated that, thank you! Also the breakfast was huge, freshly prepared and amazingly well-priced. The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. In the rain it was moody but we’ll have to come back when it is clear!

Situated in Hakone, 500 metres from Hakone Gora Park, Hakone Yutowa features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Beautiful location, close to the train station, large rooms, lovely onsens. Restaurant had a good mix of Japanese and western food. Great staff.

This place was the most luxurious I stayed during my time in Japan. Just so professional. Super clean, friendly and even a private onsen for customers to use inside (most days I went there was no one there so it felt very private). Excellent location. Movie nights on Mondays! Walk away from the botanic gardens, right beside the train station. I just had the most wonderful stay here.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. The best place we had during our journey! highly recommended for all - stunning lake view, super clean and beautiful room, great food, great and clean onsen - highly recommended!

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Amazing experience, everything was perfect. Very beautiful place with lovely scenery, highly recommend.

Nestled a 15-minute up-hill walk or a 4-minute bus ride away from Hakone Yumoto Station, Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone offers free WiFi throughout the entire property and an open-air hot-spring bath. I did the upgrade for a private room. It was absolutely amazing!!! A view to just stay in the room and relax. The team was super helpful and hospitable.
