ReLabo -Medical Spa & Stay- features a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Aomori. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service. The location was perfect being directly attached to the Aomori train station and close to restaurants and other tourist sites. The room was perfectly clean and a great size. A wonderful bathroom was also appreciated. The room and hotel had a relaxing vibe being new with a modern clean fitout. We really loved the opportunity to use the private onsen which included complimentary drinks and snacks. The Blue Room also with complimentary snacks and drinks and a lovely deck to enjoy the view (even in the snow!) was a lovely way to spend a late afternoon.

Situated in Senboku and only 15 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Kashintei Shirahama features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Extremely traditional. Great Onsen. Fantastic staff.

Featuring an open-air bath, Kameya Hotel is located in the Yunohama Onsen district of Tsuruoka, only 3.5 km from Kamo Aquarium. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Amazing history and gardens. Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

Situated in Tendo in the Yamagata region, Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Excellent Dinner and Breakfast. All inclusive drinks. Private Onsen/Hot spring was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and the Cherry blossom in full bloom along the nearby river was a huge bonus. Excellent artworks throughout the property

Yuze Hotel has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kazuno, 38 km from Appi Kogen Ski Resort. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and luggage storage space. Amazing food , great views , onsen was exceptional

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. Possibly the best hotel/ short stay experience I have ever had. The service was exceptional with excellent facilities to spend your time relaxing in - with a large beautiful lounge with a fire pit, live shamisen performances daily from 4pm to 6pm. The public onsen had incredible outdoor views with the terraced pools giving you an option to sit under cover or out in the elements (it was snowing during our visit so it was idyllic). With the additional option to rent out a private onsen also, you are spoiled for choice. The staff were incredibly helpful in suggesting activities and also providing information on how to use the local train services on the Aizu line to support our day trip to Ouchi-juku as well as our journey to our next destination. Helpful tip- you can pay for train tickets at Ashinomaki onsen station before or after a trip on the train, to save any stress or doubt over carrying the correct change coins (but make sure you have cash to cover all of it!)

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. everything exceeds my expectations

This place is the perfect location to the aki fields, with large comfortable rooms and excellent dining. The staff were exceptional and were very helpful, it is easy to get to with local buses from the Tazawako train station..
