Our room had it's own outdoor bath and view of the river. Sitting in hot water and watching snow falling was spectacular. The meals were average onsen fare.

Onyado Nono Sakaiminato Natural Hot Spring is situated in Sakaiminato, within 50 km of Hirata Honjin Memorial Museum and 25 km of Matsue Castle. The hotel was very pleasant. I would stay here again.

Featuring an open-air bath and a garden, Mansuirou is situated in the Misasa Onsen district in Misasa. This ryokan features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. From their complimentary to/from pickup from Kurayoshi Station, from check in to checkout, all were amazing. The staffs, while they don’t speak English, are very warm and tried their best to speak with me through translator app. I also had the best meals there in all of my stays in Japan. The location is also situated in the most strategic area of Misasa right at the bridge and the Onsen outdoor. I’ll surely be back.

Although I had some concerns about buffet-style dining, we were blown away by the quality, diversity and quantity of fantastic food. This was not clearly like any buffet I have ever known back home!

Boasting mountain views, Kaike Tsuruya offers accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a bar, around 500 metres from Kaike Onsen Beach. It was more fancy than I thought it would be, truly amazing. The Japanese style room and the public bathing area were both a fantastic experience. Close to the beach, with quite a few restaurants and stores around, direct bus to the station. There's a fridge, a kettle, some welcome teas and snacks, and a yukata for after the bath! They have three sizes. Highly recommend.
