The place was just fantastic. I cannot recommend it further. The staff members were super friendly and helpful. They even offered a free karada-bar class (a relaxation and stretching session), which felt amazing after a long hike. The onsen was perfect, and the cubicles were very nice too!. You have everything you need. They offer excellent dinners upon request - and you can even buy snacks, drinks and ready-made meals at reception, so you don't have to carry all your supplies at once with you when you go hiking.

The host Jian was amazing and the food cooked by his wife and daughter was exceptional, both for the dinner and in the next day's bento boxes for our day walking the Kumano Kodo

Absolutely recommend this place, its a hidden gem of Kumano Kodo. I felt like home, wonderful breakfast and onsen that is private!

Kanko Sanbashi iskelesine feribotla 5 dakikalık mesafedeki Nakanoshima'da kaplıca banyolarının ve masajların keyfini çıkarabilirsiniz. We had a group of 5 people and stayed in the Deluxe family room. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival and the staff showed us around all of the facilities and explained everything to us in English as we did not speak much Japanese, Not all of the staff spoke English, however anytime we had a query that required it they would always help us to speak with someone who did which was extremely helpful. The room itself was extremely spacious and came with 2 large beds and 3 tatami beds that were setup for us when we went for dinner. The room had all of the amenities that you could need and also gave each person a yukata and sandals that could be worn around the entire site. The balcony overlooks the bay and other areas on the island and is very beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The food for both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and explained each of the courses to us in English and were always on hand for even the smallest request. There is a fantastic walk on the top of the island that is accessible via the main lift and is a brilliant spot for photographs or just to relax in the quiet although the staff explained that it is closed when it is dark so make sure not to miss out on it if you are interested. The site has both indoor and outdoor Onsen's which are rotated between Men and Women each day. These were extremely well kept and have all of the necessities for showering beforehand etc. These were absolutely the highlight of the accommodation and I would thoroughly recommend that everyone uses them at least once during their stay. The boats to and from the mainland can be arranged with staff up to every 15 minutes and they can also arrange a free taxi shuttle service from the dock to the train station nearby I would also just like to mention about how exceptional all of the staff were. We felt welcome from the moment we set foot on the boat to the moment we stepped back off it.

Located in Shirahama, 1.9 km from Shirarahama Beach, 白浜・温泉リゾート海岳 provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The breakfast portion was very generous, and I ate my fill. There was a variety of dishes, and the tamagoyaki seemed to be freshly made—it was hot. In the morning, having a bowl of miso soup with rice along with various side dishes made my stomach very comfortable. The evening kaiseki meal is also lavish, with very fresh sashimi. I recommend the beef. The hotel also recommends other restaurants and scenic routes.

The food is sensational, culinary delights you will not forget. The view from the room overlooking the sea is mind-soothing, so are the optional morning meditations in the temple right next door. Particularily suitable for solo travellers I find, the cheerful and attentive hosts are locals and will direct you with great interest. I will come back!
