El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. Thank you José Luis and Nora for everything! Much love to you and your beautiful family. We can’t wait to return <3

The cabaña is just beautiful. It’s new, specious and comfortable. The view from the deck is absolutely incredible. You can see all kinds of animals around and they even provide binoculars to observe. The owner and the people who take care of the property are very kind and thoughtful. They make sure everything is perfect for your stay. One night they even arranged a bonfire at a viewpoint for us. The kitchen is well equipped to cook for yourselves but there are also a lot of restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and would love to come back.

Incredible Views & Unforgettable Sunsets!!! Our stay at Mundo Nuevo Eco Lodge in Minca was one of the highlights of our trip. The property is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by mountains and lush greenery. But the real magic is the sunset from the pool. Amazing location very close to the center of Minca. All restaurants and cafes are within walking distance but there was no noise pollution and the hotel was very quiet and relaxing. There is also free parking across the street.

It is a new structure in a good location in the town, so you do not need a jeep type of car to get there. They have a parking place in site which is great, in the main road they will try to make you park in the paid parking lot but ignore it. It is next to a river, and the cafe/restaurant looked nice - although we could not have breakfast there because we left too early.

Beautiful location with views of Santa Marta and just a 5 minute walk to the Main Street with restaurants and shops. Host was extremely kind, responsive, and gave us an intro to all the key places to go in Minca. Facilities were simple but clean and quiet. Many cozy seating options in communal area including hammocks. There are a couple parking spots that a non 4WD car was able to make it to with careful driving

The hummingbirds were amazing. The pool was nice and it was really close to town. The parking was great and one of the few places you could arrive to Minca to by car without a 4x4.
