El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. Thank you José Luis and Nora for everything! Much love to you and your beautiful family. We can’t wait to return <3

The place was amazing private yet close to restaurant and downtown Minca. Fabulous view and Leon was an amazing host. They have their own bar and they help you get food delivered to the property if you decide to stay in for the night. 100% recommend it.

It was all very elegant and luxurious place and we enjoyed staying at Terramia Estate a lot. Exellent quality. Plus stunning views, lots of birds and very quiet and romantic. Hot water in bathroom. Comfortable big bed with very soft linen. Definitely worth the price.

Food was great (breakfast and dinner), coffee was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The view is unbeatable! The road to reach the property is a but long and bumpy- we hired a 4x4 to drive us from the main road which made it super easy.

It's a wonderful place to stay if you want peace and quiet and amazing views. The rooms had a balcony with stunning views, so did the shared terrace. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, they have a water refill station which is amazing as it reduces the amount of plastic and is very handy. The room is spacious, basic but has everything one needs. There's only cold water, but it's everywhere in this part of Colombia, just be prepared. We loved the location as it's away from the noise and pollution of Minca, but close enough to a couple of good restaurants (you must try the Japanese place 2 minutes away, the food was extra delicious and the owners are so lovely). The hidden waterfall is walkable distance too and it was our favourite one of them all - almost no people, clean and deep enough to swim. Another MUST DO is a visit to Plan B, it's a farm nearby where they do tours. It was the best experience we had so far.

Amazing location very close to the center of Minca. All restaurants and cafes are within walking distance but there was no noise pollution and the hotel was very quiet and relaxing. There is also free parking across the street.

It is a new structure in a good location in the town, so you do not need a jeep type of car to get there. They have a parking place in site which is great, in the main road they will try to make you park in the paid parking lot but ignore it. It is next to a river, and the cafe/restaurant looked nice - although we could not have breakfast there because we left too early.

Beautiful location with views of Santa Marta and just a 5 minute walk to the Main Street with restaurants and shops. Host was extremely kind, responsive, and gave us an intro to all the key places to go in Minca. Facilities were simple but clean and quiet. Many cozy seating options in communal area including hammocks. There are a couple parking spots that a non 4WD car was able to make it to with careful driving

The hummingbirds were amazing. The pool was nice and it was really close to town. The parking was great and one of the few places you could arrive to Minca to by car without a 4x4.
