Great location for hikes in all directions, setting in a beautiful garden, absolutely quiet. The hosts treat you like family. We stayed there before (in double room in the garden) and after (in the suite which is actually the former home of the founder of JS) our Chirripo trip. Internet was working pretty good even for streaming movies (with some interruptions). Don’t miss the garden tour and the mirador in the upper part, you get a good view on the dimension of your 1st Chirripo day as well as on Cerro Ventisqueros, the second highest mountain of Costa Rica. Also nice to watch birds.

VERY spacious - both indoors and yard. Nice patio area to sit out. The house was solid with a nice layout. The kitchen was great to work in and had a large fridge - nice! Laundry area with modern washing machine - sweet! Ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms. (A/C would be a treat in the bedrooms - but I was aware there weren’t any). Very clean. Our stay was very relaxing. Our host made it easy for us to access the house. He did not live at the property. We communicated by WhatsApp & phone. He was always quick to respond and made sure everything was good! We were away from the hustle and bustle in a residential area which had an awesome local restaurant and bar in the neighborhood. It was hard to leave to explore the city.
