Place is awesome. Easy to stay way longer than planned. Small, nice communal area, rooms are a good size, yeleny is super helpful, great energy. Pet friendly, my dog loved it here too, and yeleny's dog is a joy. Loves going for walks. Really recommend this place.

Mario, our host, was incredibly helpful & has a great sense of humour. He graciously met us, gave us a full tour of the apartment & excellent information on local hiking. The apartment is very clean & wonderful. It’s big with a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything you could need. The main bedroom has a huge sliding door with a balcony - great for nightime breezes (it’s on the 2nd floor across from the police station with views into the mountains). It has built-in wood wardrobes - very elegant. The second bedroom (2 twin beds) also has large windows with views. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows. The washroom is also fully equipped with soap, shampoo, bath matt, towels & lots of hot water. Wifi is good. The spacious living area has a selection of local maps & guides. There is a laundry as well as an amazing roof patio. It’s huge! It has a covered area with a mini-kitchen, comfortable couches & coffee tables & even a washroom with panoramic views. Vilcabamba is nestled in the mountains so you can see both the town as well as the mountains all around. There is on-site, secure parking. Every detail has been addressed - there’s even a first aide cabinet in the apartment as well as a USB charging cord, in case you forgot. It doesn’t get any better!

I loved everything about this hotel. It is a 5 star resort with an outstanding staff that goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed and have everything you need. Breakfast is fantastic and cooked fresh every day. They have two pools which are well maintained and perfect for swimming. Their garden area where you can walk around and look at local and exotic flowers is gorgeous and very private. The location is perfect, within a 5 minute walk to the central park but far enough away that you don't get bothered by the noise. But the best part of this hotel is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful! I can't wait to visit again!

The view off the balcony is wonderful. Hammocks are provided. The room is charming - all wood. It’s spacious & comfortable. The pool is almost an infinity pool & has a lovely view over the valley. Breakfast was delicious - fruit, eggs, bread, juice
