What a beautiful location, with a view over the sea, the Isle of Mull and just next to the ferry to the Isle of Mull. The apartment was perfectly equipped (no washing machine and dryer though, but we did not need that), the beds were amazing and with a little groceries store and the local restaurant ‘around the corner’. We loved this place!

It was less a B&B stay but more a stay with good friends. Iain & Tom took so much care in making us welcome and feeling comfortable. Excepionally good breakfast and homemade dinner by Iain was just delicious. They also gave us some must see spots on Mull which were just breathtaking. We can't wait to visit them again next year.

Our stay in the Highland base camp was very lovely! Conveniently located near the ferry terminal the Highland Base Camp is the perfect place to stay a few days after/or before visiting the isle of Mull. The self check-in is very convenient, if you arrive late in the day/night. The rooms are clean and comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. A shelf, wall hooks, sideboards for each bed and another little sideboard in the room make it easy to organize your belongings so don’t have to dig through your luggage every time you need something. There is a small supermarket right next to the bunkhouse and you can prepare your meals in the clean and very good organized kitchen. There is a nice communal area inside and outside, there you can enjoy your food, hang out and meet other guests. If you like long walks we’ll recommend the walk around Loch Aline to Ardtornish Castle! Unfortunately the cozy and inviting looking cafe down the street was closed during our stay. But it definitely looked like it’s worth a visit! We had the pleasure to meet the lovely couple that runs the place with another friend. They are very friendly and helpful. We are definitely recommending this hostel to your friends and will come back during our next Scotland adventure!
