The rooms are meticulously maintained and the rugged area is beyond compare both for trekking in the mountains or chilling on the beaches. For a real feel for mountain village life, while having the luxury of a comfortable, local place to stay Eleni's House is unbeatable. The place is wonderfully located with a breathtaking view from the balcony or pool across the bay. The village and beach are in walking distance four minutes down the hill. In late October during the week the village is very calm but one or two taverns are still open to serve food. The wide beach consists of darkish sand and there is a rock with a cave in the water which can be explored with an SUP for example. Our whole stay was very relaxing. Despina the host is such a friendly person, she made us feel like visiting family and served us a wonderful breakfast next to the pool. She also has an elderly friendly dog who got along well with the children. The room was clean and well organised. The kitchen allowed us to prepare a simple meal on our own.
