This little town clearly suffered greatly in the economic crisis. Lots of abandoned construction projects. There are a few waterfront tavernas within walking distance of Dolce Attica hotel. We were there on a Sunday and all the locals were out being social. It’s authentic if economically depressed. We asked a man in his yard where to eat and were pointed to a decent local spot right on the water, H Xnpa in Greek, English speaking waiter but no English menu. 15 minutes from Athens airport.

It was dreadful, it had a terrible smell, an off mouldy smell. I felt sick all night and hardly slept, it is 5.20am and I am still here counting the minutes until I can leave! Very over priced for what it is, definitely not superior accomodation!

Good hotel at the seaside and close to Athens airport. Ideal for closeness to the airport, if you need a flight next day. Rooms are OK for a short stay, hwowever bathroms are small and need some refurbishing. Th bathtub is so small, one can hardly turn or move.

Spata was a great location for proximity to the airport.
Spata was a great location for proximity to the airport. We stayed in 2 different locations (one night each) a week apart. Shuttle to the airport was 10 minutes long and provided free by Apartments Tina. The Galio Apartment by Airstay is a great space that is brand new, and a paid shuttle to airport ($25), about 15 minutes, can be arranged. We walked around the Galio Apartment location, and went to local stores and restaurants, but did not walk around the Apartments Tina location.

We just stayed one day on our way to Lefkada.
We just stayed one day on our way to Lefkada... but we liked the sea and the view from the mountains. You can get on free beaches or in nice beach bars and if you want to cook your own meal you can source good locally produced food too.

From £148 per nightThe property was an excellent size, modern and clean. The location is perfect for a weekend of sightseeing around Athens. You can walk to every site easily from this location. There are excellent restaurants locally, Smile Restaurant about 30m down the road is fabulous. Get take away gyros from the ATH Souvlaki place just around the corner, they are amazing! The staff are really great and helpful! I highly recommend this apartment!
