This charming little cabin is set in a working farm. It’s amazing and quiet. I loved coming in every night to the peaceful environment. We loved the host he was so accommodating and helpful. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay for our vacation.

The house was a beautiful farmhouse. Lovely furnishings, ample room for our group of 4 who needed 4 seperate bedrooms. Peter was most welcoming and helped us acclimate to the house and surrounding area.

County living at its best. Located on the top of a rise, in the midst of farmland, this was truly a quiet, restful location. Due to the rural location the key was left in the door, so we let ourselves in on arrival. We were greeted outside by the owner's dog, who loves to play catch with anyone willing to toss the ball to her. Peter came by a little while later and introduced himself and gave us a suggestion to visit Trim Castle as we continued on our journey. The two downstairs bedrooms were of a good size, with the main bathroom located on the same level. Upstairs were 4 twin beds with an ensuite shower room. The beds were comfortable, all facilities were clean and well presented. Peter was a friendly and welcoming host, we were glad to have made this stop on our journey.

We had a wonderful stay at Countryside escape and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful Irish countryside setting. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and well-equipped, with a warm and homely feel that made it perfect for our family gathering and special occasion. The quiet location provided an ideal space to relax and spend quality time together. The property’s unique charm, with its heritage-style furnishings and décor, added to the overall experience. The outdoor surroundings were also beautiful and contributed to a very relaxing stay. The host was attentive and communicative throughout, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel very welcome. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would gladly return in the future.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking.

We came here to view for our wedding, so we booked in to stay the night as well just to get a proper idea of every aspect of the hotel. We met with the wedding coordinator, Emma. She was so helpful and we loved the placed so much we booked there and then for our wedding. The castle itself is amazing. Whether or not the decor is genuine antique, it definitely looks and feels the part. The history of the hotel is provided in the rooms, I would recommend reading it, as you can really notice aspects of the different eras as you explore the castle. We stayed in one of the cottages. The room was huge, spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We ate in the bar for lunch and then in the restaurant for dinner. Both were great value but would 100% recommend booking the restaurant for dinner, it was perfect. (recommend the hake and Cava) Afterwards, we took our wine and hung out in one of the reception rooms upstairs in the hotel which was gorgeous. Then down to the bar for a couple of cocktails which were also delicious (recommend the espresso martini). There was a wedding on during our stay, and you would never have noticed. We didn't bump into any wedding goers at all and there was no noise. Breakfast was in the hotel restaurant. The wedding guests have breakfast in the Granary so it's not crowded. Breakfast was perfect, can't fault at all. Love it and can't wait to come back!!

Sarah was a spectacular hostess, she went above and beyond for sure. We arrived to fresh brown bread, jams and all the makings for crisp sandwiches! Sarah also had some fresh fruits, milk and other bits. Everything was absolutely flawless, the kitchen and baths were well stocked, just such an adorable place. We loved all the special touches, and Sarah was so responsive through our trip. We will absolutely be visiting again!

My room and ensuite bathroom were lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious full Irish breakfast! It's in a quiet area not far from the town of Bailieborough.
