The breakfast and dinner were great. The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The no-booking system for the private onsens was easy to use. The location was also very convenient - close to Sainokawara Park and the shops.

I love the variety of food on my plate when i got my breakfast and it was brought to my room on time that I requested them in. Having the Coffee maker in my room made it easier to get my caffeine fix, not that LAWSON (convenience store) was far when it was literally just downstairs, that couldn't have been closer. And that Bus terminal just outside the Hotel? right on the spot where i need it to be. And did I mention they have in-house HOT SPRING? Yeah they do!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of going to the area.

The owner Miki was very kind and helpful, gave us information we need before the trip and on arrival. The room was perfect to me, with great view of another traditional hotel covered with beautiful white snow. We ordered breakfast, which is very delicious and so rich that's good for a brunch 😋 We also tried dinner, very nice and even too much for me. 😆

The couple who own the hotel have been very attentive to our needs. We felt warmly welcomed, like being in a traditional Japanese inn, especially with the hot mineral springs in the two onsens available anytime. The homemade food was amazing! We would love to come back again soon.

The location was great! It was walking distance from the bus station and the centre of town. The staff were amazingly helpful and they were very accommodating in holding our luggage until check in and also after check in for a few hours. This was really appreciated. The room appeared a little smaller than expected from the photos but it is a traditional stay and was actually loved it. The breakfast was delightful and filling and a nice change from eating out. The inhouse onsen was great. Our son was a little shy about the public ones so it was great that he was able to try one in private. They were beautiful and given there are 6 other rooms with guests we found that we never had to wait to use them. When using the onsen be sure to grab the little timber plaque on the platform halfway up the stairs and put that on the outside of the door. This indicates that the onsen is in use but also as you pass this spot lets you know if they are occupied or not without having to go down stairs. The outlook of the onsens were lovely with little gardens. We loved the dinner recommendation that was given to us by the young male staff member. He didn't speak much english but pointed it out on the map for us. If you want a lovely meal go to FAITH. We knew our trip to Kusatsu was a splurge but staying here confirmed that we made a good choice and highly recommend this for a simple, comfortable and calm traditional stay.
