Everything was above and beyond. The staff was particularly lively and helpful, even for Japanese standards! (which is saying a lot since they're generally very nice!). All the details were very thoughtfully prepared. The food was exquisite! Hard to believe it was all included, since the food alone could have been worth at least $100 in any gourmet restaurant at a big city. The flavors were indeed more than just traditional Japanese and went along with the mixture of influences that Nagasaki is known for. Every dish was explained by the friendly staff, who are evidently very passionate about their craft. The design of the rooms and the hotel are aesthetically and experientially magical. We enjoyed the private onsen in front of the beautiful seaview. They also have a public onsen! The hotel is 3 minutes away (walking) from the Obama Onsen Bus Stop, which is where any bus will drop you off from either Nagasaki or Isahaya Station, so even that comes in handy. 10/10

I loved everything. The host Takashi San has created an exceptional and unique place. The location overlooking the lake is beautiful. Takashi has designed HUB with a real eye for detail. The electrical set up..wow, and the large apartments combining traditional Japanese and Western are perfect. Takashi San will make you welcome and provide much help for your stay🩷

This is an outstanding unique property if you like hot thermal spas. While I am not a fan of public bathing I found some hours when no one was there and I snuck in. What a luxury!!!! For next year I am getting suite with the private hot thermal spa so I don’t have to worry about the privacy. That having been said this place is six stars the service the food the Japanese ambiance and the entire experience is complete. I am an international traveler and I go to high end places only. This place was an amazing surprise in the middle of Unzen. I highly highly recommend it

Spacious table-seating in the dining room, all tables having a view of the garden (really a park-like setting) and a menu that deserves an international rating at the highest levels, and that applies to both dinner (the landscape outside the glass wall is softly illuminated) and breakfast that offers Western coffee selections and the best of Japanese tea. We booked two nights and we were delightfully surprised to find that both the dinner and breakfast menus were varied. The wait staff and chefs paced the meal to our habits, and as English-speaking guests we never were challenged in communications.

We were in a traditional Japanese room with one bed which worked out perfectly for our family of four adults. There were two sitting areas in the room which made is very spacious. Staff came in to set up the futons for three of us which was really nice. The onsen on site was very relaxing.
