We had the most wonderful, relaxing time at Farmhouse Herbaltei. It was one of the most memorable and enjoyable stays during our Japan trip thanks to Mikiko and Kei being such attentive, kind and welcoming hosts. The meals were a treat as Mikiko is such an excellent cook. We loved our hike to the shrine/temple followed by a dip in the local Onsen. The view from the temple was breathtaking. We enjoyed the really interesting discussions during our meals and learned so much about Japan. The tea ceremony in Ayabe was an amazing experience. Mikiko has a lot of leaflets and maps on things to do in the area, and will also help you organise your time ahead of your stay. It was very easy to communicate and plan ahead of our arrival. We slept extremely well during our stay, and our room (one for sleeping and one living-room) was spacious and comfortable, with a supply of hot and cold water and tea. It was just perfect. We would love to come back!
