The location is perfect! Just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) takes you to the beautiful Nabetahama Beach and many nearby attractions. The sunrise views from the room are absolutely gorgeous. For those who want to explore the area, the guesthouse offers free bicycles to borrow. There's also a fully-equipped kitchen you can use for free if you'd like to cook, and even a BBQ area for outdoor grilling. The bathroom, while a little dated, is clean and comfortable. The host, Yuki, is incredibly helpful and generous with his time and advice. He even assisted me with a luggage delivery service. His excellent English makes communication a breeze. True to its name, this guesthouse truly offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

They have tatami room, so it was warm and comfortable enough to sleep because we went on trip in November. They have sentou as well! Good experience for my group. The owner was really nice to us and even gave us postcards which photos were taken by himself!

The hotel itself is very beautiful. The interior is warm and has a homely feeling; the exterior is furnished with a beautiful infinity pool (pic 3). It’s located in higher ground and you can peer into a cute mini harbor right at the foot of the mountain from the seaside view room (p4). There’s a private onsen at the hotel that you can book (was included in my stay) and it has an awesome view during sunset (pic 2). You can also book the breakfast in advance (1600¥) which comes with 2 courses (salad + meat main meal and pancake) and self-serve beverages (including pressed juice from local fruits, which I found quite nice). You can also rent an e-bike for an entire day for 1000¥ (very cheap compared to other e-bike services) which is necessary for sight seeing around the area as buses are infrequent. Shirahama beach / shrine is 5min away, izukyu shimoda train station about 15min, and Ryugu Cave about 55min away on e-bike. The hotel owner is very nice and helpful! She helped me plan the next leg of my trip and even arranged a late breakfast booking! And gave me a ride to the train station on my last day!
