The hotel is well located near shopping and restaurants. The staff was the best part of the experience. Very helpful, patient and able to deal with my lack of Korean language skills. They received a package for me, lent me an umbrella and helped with a phone call. Much appreciated extra service. I was traveling by bicycle and this location on the edge of the city near the river bike paths and a good bike shop was good for me. Remarkably I stayed nearly a week and enjoyed most the Gwangju Museum of Art and riding in and out of town to the countryside (Namwon, etc)

Everything was pleasant here - the manager, sanitation, facilities, and the whole atmosphere. The building is very clean inside but also somehow old in appearance, preserving the modern style of Korean houses built in the last century. The main travel destinations of the city - ACC / 5.18 Democracy Square, Chungjang-ro are accessible by bus right from here. I have to visit Gwangju several times next year, and I will definitely choose here again.

EG Stay Hotel is offering accommodations in Gwangju. This 2-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was extremely clean, and the staff were super friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was great, with a good mix of traditional local dishes and Western options, so there was plenty to choose from. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again. Highly recommended!
