We had a wonderful experience at The Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly impressive. A special mention to Ms. Kaveesha, who was extremely supportive, cooperative, and went out of her way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. She personally showed us the room and guided us on many things during our stay. We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a stunning view of the surrounding hills. The location of the hotel is about 5 km from the main town, but that makes it even more peaceful and beautiful. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, and in the morning, the sound of birds chirping adds a magical, natural charm. It truly feels like staying in the heart of nature. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention too – it had a wide spread with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, this hotel perfectly balances comfort, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy.

From arrival the hosts were super friendly - we were given a cold orange juice to sip on balcony with a beautiful view of Kandy. Our room was clean and bed very comfy (with lots of pillows and duvet and AC in room), bathroom was also nice and had soap/toilet roll! The breakfast in the morning was delicious - highly recommend getting if you stay (Sri lankan food and fruit / tea & coffee). The owner also drove us in tuk tuk to train station next day. Great price and a beautiful view from the location, with some really nice restaurants nearby

I had an incredible experience staying here. The host and his family were absolutely amazing—so warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan food they served. Each meal was a delightful culinary journey, full of authentic flavors and prepared with so much care. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, making my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I absolutely loved my time here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming, home-like atmosphere with exceptional service and fantastic food. Stunning views from the veranda, and an excellent jungle just outside. Spent a long time on the veranda day and night appreciating the sights and sounds. The family was lovely and friendly and cooked an excellent dinner for us at short notice when we arrived late at night.

After a disappointing experience in Kandy and a grueling 10-hour drive, we arrived at this incredible haven, where we were warmly welcomed by Inoka at the gate. She went above and beyond, even helping us maneuver our little tuk-tuk up the driveway. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was unmatched.
