quiet beautiful place. Well-kept garden and always clean house. Mobile Internet coverage is good here, so you can work remotely. The food here is very tasty and inexpensive. So I've always eaten here. The staff is very friendly and doesn’t ask unnecessary questions (as happens in Sri Lanka). I spent 10 days here and I felt very comfortable. There are fans in the rooms that can be turned on at low speeds, so you can’t hear them at all.

Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The chef's creativity shone through in every dish, and we were constantly surprised and delighted by the flavors and presentations.

I liked the calm of the setting, in the trees and away from the road. The staff were very lovely, and the breakfast was incredible.

We decided to go from Polonnaruwa to Maskeliya by bus last moment and Ambepussa was a convenient layover point. We were to arrive there by 00:00. Wijaya Tourist Inn was the only place with the convenient location on booking.com and their check in closed at 22:00. Since I booked last moment I called the contact number and the hotel owner confirmed that they could reopen and let us in the room at 12. My bus then was 2h late but the owner was incredibly helpful and nice and when I arrived at ~12:40 he sent me the map how to get to the hotel and the manager stayed in the hotel 3h after the check in closed until we arrived and kindly let us in. Value for money is great and I was amazed at the staff helpfulness and hospitality!
