The house was exceptionally well equipped with just about everything we needed, and impeccably refurbished. We arrived in a rainy and cold weekend and the house was very cosy, with two pellet heaters (upstairs and downstairs) and additional reversible AC heating in the living room and main room. Wonderfully well equipped and spatious WC, great kitchen (it even had an orange presser, dishwasher and laundry machine). The garden is outstanding with v nice landscaped terraces and a great view of the village and hills. We managed to get a walk near the beautiful river and, for rainy days there was Netflix and board games. Carla, the host has done a superb job with this property and we will be back for sure!

Self contained tiny house that had everything we needed (except a way to stop the rain) We are tall people and we had plenty of space. We made 2 meals there and slept well. We also appreciate the recycling/composting/garbage separating. The AC/heater unit worked well.

It is a beautifully furnished hotel. The balcony offered a nice view. Breakfast was sumptuous. The owner of Celeste was very helpful as was her son. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The top floor/4th level rooms with available adjoining rooms and large terrace was an excellent space for a family of 3-5. The hotel staff was kind, knowledgeable & the facilities were wonderful. We swam almost everyday in the separately located solarium pool with adjacent lounge inluding chairs & seating area, bathrooms, showers & changing room including lockers. The rooftop terrace above the pool for taking in a view of the City of Agueda was an exceptional introduction to our stay. Gabrielle, Daniella, Luis & all staff made our staff very special. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. We should have taken better advantage of the full menu & lounge bar, but be aware the lounge is very cozy & the bar is charming with a wonderful selection of food & beverages

This stop was three or four km closer to my next stop on the Caminho Portugués than the last time. I traveled by bicycle, and the route I took to get to the property took me past one of the most amazing war/peace memorials I have ever seen: the field gun with its barrel tied in a knot. I like that the place is across from a BK or a McD (I honestly do’t remember which (& it’s not worth looking it up). That was convenient. The reception agent stashed my bike inside out of the weather. I really appreciated that.
