The views from the house are beautiful and the location is incredible, very close to waterfalls and hikes and in a fair distance by car to other points of interest in Serra da Lousã. The host is very communicative and always attentive to our needs. The house is beautifully refurbished and feels very homely and welcoming, especially if you enjoy nature and are looking for some tranquility.

Everything has been thought of from the user's point of view. The kitchen is well-equipped and the place can be heated in winter. It's the cosiest place one would hope to find, and at a very reasonable off-season price, too! Candal is one of the prettiest 'schist villages' of all, not too artificial or touristy, and it's located in a fantastic natural area for hiking. I stayed for one week and would thoroughly recommend it!

We made our breakfast with items bought in a super market on our way. The area is amazing beautiful and quiet. The air is super clean. The owner gave the key and explained every question. There is a nice coffee shop near to the room.
