This is a wonderful property, very clean (in fact the property looks new). The kitchen is well equipped although has none of the basic consumables you might need (salt, pepper, oil, sugar, etc). The balcony is a nice size with plenty of room for sun loungers, chairs, table & a drying rack. The barbeque grill built into the wall is a boon and got lots of use during our stay. There is a great view over the lake and it is quite peaceful, being away from the main road. The swimming pool is excellent for lazy days and we often had it to ourselves, it's big enough to actually swim in if you want (~8m long). Our host was wonderful, quick to respond to requests and very helpful (we met her once in the supermarket when buying fish and she stepped in on our behalf to ensure we got the best sardines (for the aforementioned barbeque)) Overall a great property in a great location that we'd be happy to return to.

Loved this apartment! The location was absolutely perfect. Our host was helpful, polite and super friendly. She showed us around the property, and made sure we had everything that we needed. She really wanted us to enjoy it as much as possible. We loved being able to relax on the porch and have leisurely breakfasts outside in the mornings. Great. Great. Great location. Oh, and they have ample parking.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you may need and is very clean. We stayed just for one night but we're treated as if we had a longer stay. The host provides you detailed instructions for your arrival making it very easy to arrive. Highly recommend.

The location is excellent and well situated in the heart of the Gerés Region. São Bernardo de Claravel offers very clean rooms, each with it's own wc/shower and comfortable beds (appreciated after a long day's hike or walk). A shared kitchenette, on the lower level, is available to guests. It has a sitting/relaxing area, a microwave, a kettle, crockery, cutlery and a Delta Coffee machine (espressos, cappuccinos, etc at a fair price). Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the region by visiting the rural villages,the stunning waterfalls, forests, hike, picnic, mediate at São Bento da Porta Aberta, enjoy massages at the São Bento Hotel and finish the day with sundowners on the Orange Tree courtyard which overlooks the Caniçada Dam. A highly recommended holiday, especially for city dwellers who want to enjoy and be close to nature.
