We LOVED our stay at Amazi! Deborah is an amazing host, the room is quiet and comfortable, the location simply breath-taking, and the breakfast delicious. We also booked a boat tour to the islands -- just let Deborah know and she'll make arrangements for you -- which we loved. We went swimming in the lake in the morning, which was one of our favorite experiences around Lake Kivu. If you are in the area, make sure to stay here.

Faustino provided excellent service the whole time we were there, even running a special errand into town with us to replace a broken phone. He arranged a boat tour and massage. Breakfast was great both mornings.

Great place for those who are looking for astonishing view from the terrace. Really it is mind-blowing. Strongly recommended. Well, the conditions are not luxury, more like in normal touristic cabin, but it is pretty decent. The stuff is great (to the managers: special thanks to Erric), trying to help. Mornings, when fishermen from the fishermen village nearby start fishing, they sing. They do this because they believe that unhappy fisherman can not achieve good result. Good occasion to get new emotions and thoughts.

The views from the restaurant and rooms are gorgeous. The fresh fish I had for dinner was delicious and quite inexpensive. A mosquito nap was provided, which was necessary. Although the room is quite small and basic, the price was extremely reasonable.

We stayed two nights as a quick stopover from Uganda heading to Kigali. The hotel is right on Lake Kivu, a great location with beautiful views. It was too windy for us to enjoy (I get sea sick) but they do offer kayaks and boat tours. The room was very nice, bed was comfy, and the shower was hot. Restaurant on site was great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
