Our best stay along the Garden Route. Amazing country lodge off the beaten track. Staff were beyond wonderful and kind. We were greeted with sparkling wine, given a tour of the beautiful lodge, fed sumptuously. Beautiful bar. Book their dinner in advance, it's worth it.

A truly memorable stay at Howberry Hills . It is literally a haven for peace , quiet and relaxation . The host and staff were phenomenal throughout the entire stay . The Glamper unit was an amazing room and the outdoor shower was an unforgettable experience. It is a more than just a stop over place and a few days more is definitely needed

I like the location, the ease of chicking in and out, the location is 10 min or less of many activities and attractions, the cleaness and the beauty of the property

The nature and the views were breathtaking. Everything was above our expectations. It was very peaceful and the night sky was full of stars. Amanda was very nice and took great care of us! Would definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed walking around the manor and getting to know the staff. The bed and air conditioning was really enjoyable.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location overlooking the elephant park is truly special, and waking up to such a peaceful view every morning was unforgettable. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and you could tell the hosts genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and a perfect way to start the day. What made our stay even more memorable was the warm hospitality. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. We honestly couldn’t find anything to complain about. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly stay here again. Thank you for making our family trip so enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The unit was exactly as advertised. I expected it to be a small unit. I would suggest people do a bit of research if they're not familiar with "tiny house" living, e.g. the double bed is built into a corner, meaning if you're a couple, one will have to almost certainly wake up or "bug" the other by climbing over them in the middle of the night to go to the loo (just an example). For a single occupant (like I was) the unit was perfect.

Beautiful location, beautiful house. We loved being in the middle of the forest. There are animals on sight we got to interact with.

Staff, location, facilities, and nature in the area

This was the perfect place for a family get away from the city, centrally located with Plett and Knysna only 20 minutes away we were able to do all the sight seeing. We loved the deer, who we could pet and feed (they love grapes). Not to mention the two beautiful dogs Skyla and Lucia who always came to greet us (our kids loved them). The swimming pool was great for the warmer days and the cooler nights in the bush setting was perfect for a braai. The fact that there was intermittent wifi actually came as a blessing, because it gave us time to enjoy the boardgames and going to select DVDs from the selection available brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you to our friendly hosts for a unforgettable stay, we will definitely be back.
