Staying at Jeff’s place in Bad Goisern was one of the highlights of my Austria trip. The location makes it super easy to explore all nearby lakes — Hallstatt, Gosau, and St. Wolfgang — while still being peaceful and scenic on its own. I even managed to visit Salzburg comfortably in a day. What impressed me most was Jeff’s attention to detail. He carefully helped me plan my itinerary, checking weather conditions for each spot so I could enjoy the best scenery at the best time. That thoughtful touch really made a difference. The house itself feels new, cozy, and well-maintained. Every facility is high quality, and the mountain view from the balcony is nice. Breakfast is nutritious with enough variety to keep you energized for the day. A truly wonderful stay — highly recommend to anyone visiting the lake district!

Gasthof Fischer is a family-run 4 star hotel split between 2 buildings and enjoys a central location in Marchtrenk. Free private parking is conveniently available for guests of the property. The check in process was so easy, we really liked it, completely contactless. We found the breakfast to be pretty good.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the lake (the view is unbeatable). Excellent restaurant and delicious breakfast. The town and lake offer a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!
