Set in Melbourne, 1.2 km from Melbourne Museum, The StandardX, Melbourne offers accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This is a great hotel in a very funky part of Melbourne. Staff were super friendly, the bed was sooo comfortable and the rooftop is great. Fitzroy is much more interesting than the CBD so the location was great too. We will be back.

Located in Geelong, 1.5 km from Eastern Beach, Quest Geelong Central provides accommodation with a terrace, private parking and barbecue facilities. We booked the 3 bedroom apartment for 2 nights for my MIL’s 70th birthday. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, our 4 yr old daughter and my MIL. It was a 2 bedroom apartment with an adjoining studio room - so we had 3 bedrooms (king beds) 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies - it was perfect! The hotel and rooms are new, modern, clean and spacious. The location is perfect, with James street around the corner with so many dining options and with galleries and the waterfront (playground, skateparks and activities) an easy, short walk away. The rooftop and BBQ area is lovely with stunning views over Geelong and there’s gym facilities which we didn’t use. Large free carpark (on weekends) around the corner. And if you don’t get your room cleaned/towels replaced, they have a plant a tree initiative which we liked!

Located in Melbourne and with Melbourne Museum reachable within 1.8 km, Quest Collingwood provides concierge services, allergy-free rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a terrace. This is an apartment hotel, my room was a studio with a balcony on the sixth floor. The studio is small but for a single person had enough space to never feel cramped. The rooms are well designed in the layout with a wardrobe and small desk as well as a kitchen and dining area with cooking pans, plate, utensils to make regular meals. The bathroom has a shower and nice vanity and again well designed with plenty of light. A free laundry area is available on the first floor as well as a gym. Staff are very helpful. Wi-fi was excellent. The hotel is walking distance to the CBD and popular Smith Street restaurants and nightlife as well as Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens.

Boasting a terrace, a restaurant as well as a bar, Nightelier Carrum Downs Sands Hotel is situated in Carrum Downs, 14 km from Dandenong Train Station. The hotel looks modern, clean, and smells good. The room was spacious and comfortable. Location is great as it is just opposite a mall, with several eateries within walking distance. The complimentary coffee behind the reception was surprisingly good. Overall, good value and a pleasant stay for visiting the attractions around Mornington Peninsula.

Located 4.5 km from Moonah Links Golf Club, Links Lodge at The Dunes offers 4-star accommodation in Rye and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. Links Lodge is situated at The Dunes Golf Links, one of Australia's top public golf courses. The lodging is located on the Mornington Peninsula, where several high quality public golf courses are located. I started playing golf at The Dunes in 2007 on my first trip to Australia and have regularly played there on many trips. The stylish rooms offer good space and have modern shower and plumbing fixtures. The nearby clubhouse offers a menu with good breakfast and lunch. Golf tee times can be reserved, unless the stay is booked at times when course is closed to public play, such as when large multiday tournaments are held. I've found it possible on most trips to the area to get tee times at The Dunes. I usually stay at a small cottage nearby but this time it was unavailable part of my stay. I would consider the Links Lodge at The Dunes for another stay on future visits. There are in room safes offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about safeguarding travel documents. The lodging is fairly new and opened in the last few years. It is separated from the main clubhouse by a short distance and each unit has parking which is separate from common parking areas. My room was a two minute walk to the restaurant and clubhouse.
