The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. We like everything about this place, it’s away from the city, the view is spectacular, staffs are very good, food are amazing! Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley. Excellent location! A room with a terrace and a view over the valley and the famous Staubbach Falls. Highly recommended — worth every penny! Very good breakfast. There’s a picnic area indoors where you can enjoy your own food in the afternoon or evening, and even bring your own beer or wine. Adam, a gem at the reception, was exceptionally kind and professional!

Situated in the centre of Grindelwald, a 5-minute walk from Grindelwald Train Station, the sports centre, and the First Cable Car, Hotel Hirschen offers free WiFi and a restaurant serving cheese... The room was really spacious with amazing mountain views. The location is very convenient, on Grindelwald's main street, close to the train station and cable cars, with lots of shops and restaurants around. The cleanliness was top notch. Ample counter space in the bathroom for all the toiletries. Breakfast was really good and they go the extra mile to include local cheese and bread. The staff was really friendly, they were very kind and were able to help us with an early check-in.
