Beautiful rustic and stylish room on top floor with view of the little church tower next door and the mountains. Room and ensuite spacious, comfortable and very clean, bed up on mezzanine level. Complimentary bottle of wine and goodies on arrival. Breakfast, which is included, was plentiful, delicious and full of choice and colour with hot items as well as continental options available too. Staff all delightful, welcoming and really helpful. The hotel has a bar across the way which is perfect for an après-ski drink with nibbles or a pre-dinner aperitif and again, the staff are very lovely!

They even left a printed letter with keycard for late check in. (Damn you rain on Stelvio :D )

The service was wonderful: restaurant staff, the two guys at reception, everyone was ready to answer any question. Whatever we wanted, from room service to special requests, was done quickly and deliciously.

The hotel is new and has all the facilities you would need. Even if it's a 3 star hotel, it has a spa, gym, wet and dry sauna, a nice place to relax after the sauna, a ski-room (we went in summer, so we didn't use it), underground parking. There was an umbrella and a backpack in our room - to use if you want to go trekking. The staff was always helpful. Breakfast was nice and simple, but with enough options to suit everyone. The longest toboggan in Switzerland is at 3-4 minutes walking distance from the hotel. We tried it and it was super fun.

Set in Bormio, Hotel Baita Dei Pini is just a short walk from the city’s historic centre, ski lifts, and thermal baths. The Bormio 2000 and Ciuk ski lifts are across the river. From the moment I entered the hotel lobby, the scents of winter and New Year were pleasantly wafting through. The staff, the hotel, and the room's cleanliness were all top-notch. The breakfasts were a work of art in themselves.
