The Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa is a historic five-star hotel located in the heart of Bern, Switzerland. The hotel is centrally located and very close to the main train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful with luxurious bathroom and toiletries. The included breakfast was amazing! I wish I could have stayed longer!

We were on a 2 week trip around Switzerland and this was by far and away our favourite accommodation of all those we stayed in. Beautiful interior, fabulous location and breakfast and Katja was a great host!

The host was truly wonderful – very kind, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The house is beautifu and clean. Her dog is also incredibly friendly. We and our dog had a fantastic stay. The bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks for the great recommendations on places to visit – we really enjoyed them as well. She is a truly respectable and inspiring senior who deserves to be treated with the same sincerity and kindness she shows to her guests. We'd love to come back and stay at her warm and welcoming home again.

Unique quaint space in the heart of Bern. Public transport is about 800 meters (.5 mile from the location) or it’s a beautiful mile stroll/bike into the old town. I stayed in the loft space and I’m on my way to Amsterdam so it felt like I was getting practice on the way their lol Cute little kitchen, bathroom, living room and a reading nook in the loft space with the comfiest chair, had an awesome sleep in a comfy bed. Then finished off my stay by having an espresso In the cute kitchen before departing.

The studio is nicely decorated ,the bedroom is very large.Everything was clean.the terrace is beautiful with a beautiful view.The owners did not welcome us,we were given instruktions to get the key.That is OK.

I recently stayed at this lovely accommodation with 2 adults and 2 kids ages 10 under and had a truly pleasant experience. Here are a few highlights that I think future travellers will really appreciate: 🚉 Great Location: The property is conveniently located just 350 meters from the nearest bus stop and about 900 meters from the train station—perfect for getting around without hassle. 🧼 Well-Stocked Amenities: The home is impressively equipped with everything you need, including laundry detergent and basic cooking condiments. These little touches made settling in so much easier. 🛡️ Safe and Peaceful Neighborhood: The area felt very secure, quiet, and family-friendly—great for a relaxing stay. 🚗 Easy Parking: For those traveling with a car, on-street parking is available right in front of the accommodation. 💬 Fantastic Host Communication: The hosts were friendly, responsive, and always available to answer questions. Communication was smooth from start to finish. ℹ️ Heads Up: There’s a small tourist tax of 2 Swiss Francs per adult per night, which is fairly standard. Kids are exempt, which is good to know when planning. Overall, I’d highly recommend this accommodation—it’s comfortable, well-located, and clearly hosted with care.

The place has a unique and authentic design, making it truly special. Ararat has everything needed for a comfortable stay, with all the necessary amenities and a very clean environment. The location on a hill near the church adds to its charm. The host, Margaret, was incredibly friendly and even gave me a ride to the seminar location. I highly recommend this place!
