Here comes my review of 🏨 Qichi Waterfront Hotel — located not far from Luoyi Ancient City, super convenient to get to! ✨ First highlight — the hotel offers a free pick-up service from the train station! 🚗💨 As soon as we arrived, a staff member was already waiting to greet us and warmly escorted us inside ❤️ Right at the entrance, we were welcomed by the cutest chubby cat named 大熊 (Da Xiong) — which means “Big Bear” 🐻. So adorable and super friendly, like he’s the real owner of the hotel! 😆 Our room was amazing — located on the first floor by the river, with a stunning view 🌊 The bathroom is Japanese-style, with a warm toilet seat and a built-in bidet 🚽✨ But the real highlight is… “Xiao Du,” the smart voice assistant! 🎤 You can control the lights and curtains just by talking! Commands we used: 💡 “Xiao Du, kai deng” (turn on the light) 💡 “Xiao Du, guan deng” (turn off the light) 🪟 “Xiao Du, kai chuang lian” (open the curtain) 🪟 “Xiao Du, guan chuang lian” (close the curtain) In the end, we spent half the night just playing with the lights and curtains 😂

We also got free breakfast, Chinese style! Best place to stay when you're a foreigner visiting Shaolin!

Set in Zhengzhou and within 600 metres of Renmin Road, InterContinental Zhengzhou by IHG features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental and would recommend it to others and we would definitely stay in your hotels in other locations. We didn't speak the language and we found the staff were very patient and helpful and they went out of their way to assist us and make us feel welcome. The room was lovely, stylish and modern and we think that this hotel was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in
